Chipstead Sailing Club is an accredited Royal Yachting Association Training Centre. All our instructors are qualified and are trained in the approved methods of teaching sailing and power to different age groups and levels of tuition. We run training courses for adults and young people who want to learn to sail and take part in this exciting sport. We teach complete novices and those people who want to improve their sailing skills.

We have a strong emphasis on teaching and encouraging young people to take part in the sport. We provide a wide variety of training courses at Chipstead Sailing Club, from basic training courses for beginners programme to providing Start Racing courses for those sailors who wish to get involved in the racing aspect of sailing.

The Training Centre also provides bespoke training for its members such as powerboat safety course designed for those wishing to undertake safetyboat duties and encourages the development of sailors into instructors through a regular RYA Assistant Instructor programme.
